Medicare is a form of health insurance designed by the government for older persons, and also those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only exception is, the person must acquire treatment coming from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what sort of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual should be hospitalized because of their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
