Dual diagnosis rehabs are facilities which provide rehabilitation to handle both mental health and addiction issues at the same time. Treatment counselors will continue to work to spot environmental issues in the client's life such as negative relationships or any other things which must be addressed in order for the individual to be mentally stable and abstinen t after they depart dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral treatment that helps them develop far better coping mechanisms so that they are better able to deal with life situations well once they depart dual diagnosis rehab instead of turning to alcohol and drugs as a possible answer.
