Medicare is a type of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, and also those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person will need to obtain treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what sort of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be hospitalized because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
