TRICARE covers many different treatment services to address drug and alcohol dependence including detox services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. Those that have TRICARE will naturally be asked to obtain a prior authorization before taking part in any kind of rehabilitation service, that may be arranged using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the favored rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in this facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about just how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which may be very helpful, as it could help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are skilled rehabilitation counselors standing by to help you today.
