Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real catch is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
