Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, as well as people with certain disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual must receive treatment from your drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin treatment, they may also have to visit their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve what type of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
