In the first place, detecting a drug and alcohol abuse problem among the hearing impaired can be a challenge, as these individuals may attempt to hide their problem as a result of social stigmas attached to drug abuse. However, drug rehab counselors who offer rehabilitation to hearing impaired individuals see the challenges these clients face. ASL treatment services are definitely a must, as well as treatment services which address the particular challenges that hearing impaired individuals encounter. Group therapy offers a venue for important peer interactions to ensure treatment clients can know that they're not on their own, and that there's hope to handle their problem with drugs and alcohol. Individual counseling services may be more tailored for each person so that their particular challenges can be remedied in treatment.
