TRICARE is health insurance which is provided to folks in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is much more common than one would think, and the need to offer rehab to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers numerous treatment services to address drug and alcohol dependence including detox services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will obviously need to get a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, that may be arranged with their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can remain within an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which is often very helpful, as it can certainly help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled rehab counselors waiting to help you today.
