Partial day rehabs are programs where men and women receive drug abuse rehab services throughout the day and after that go back home every day when rehab is complete. Partial day rehab is oftentimes preferred over a more intensive plan which would require either an inpatient stay in a medical facility or even a residential stay in a residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation center or therapeutic community. This is primarily because it offers a lot of flexibility so the individual can maintain their obligations and normal lifestyle while still receiving treatment services. Partial day rehab can also be a less expensive option, because individuals only spending money on the rehab rather than the amenities required in an inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. Most partial day rehabs provide treatment in a medical center or mental health hospital or clinic, and these centers provide the regular rehabilitation services that would normally be offered in almost any other regular alcohol and drug treatment facility. Partial day rehab also is a worthwhile aftercare alternative for somebody who has already completed rehabilitation in an inpatient or residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. This can provide additional support and recovery services needed for those who need this outlet when they get their lives back to normal.
