Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the government for older folks, in addition to those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be in a hospital for issue, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
