Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which deliver rehab to deal with both mental health and addiction issues concurrently. Rehab counselors will continue to work to identify environmental issues in the client's life including negative people in their lives or other things that must be addressed in order for the person to stay mentally stable and sober t whenever they leave dual diagnosis rehab. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which helps them develop far better coping mechanisms so they are able to better deal with life situations more effectively when they leave dual diagnosis rehab rather than turning to drugs and alcohol as an inferior answer.
