TRICARE is health insurance that is provided to folks in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is more common than one would think, and the necessity to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is a priority. TRICARE covers a variety of treatment services to deal with drug and alcohol dependence such as detox services, as well as rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People who have TRICARE will obviously be asked to obtain a prior authorization before taking part in any kind of rehab service, that may be organized using their regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center will be the preferred rehab option, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits as to how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which can be very beneficial, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors standing by to assist you today.
