Medicare is a kind of medical insurance created by the federal government for senior citizens, along with people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start treatment, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be in a hospital for problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
