TRICARE is health care insurance which is offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use within the military is more common than one would think, and the necessity to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers numerous rehab services to address drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Individuals with TRICARE will obviously be required to obtain a prior authorization before taking part in any type of treatment service, which may be organized using a regional TRICARE representative. If an inpatient center is the preferred treatment choice, TRICARE covers twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in that program per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits as to the length of time a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very beneficial, as it could help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert rehab counselors ready to help today.
