Medicare is a type of health care insurance developed by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to people with specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve which kind of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
