Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the government for seniors, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual must obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
