TRICARE is health care insurance that's offered to individuals in the military of the United States. Substance abuse within the military is more common than one would imagine, and the necessity to provide rehab to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers numerous rehabilitation services to address drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People with TRICARE will naturally be asked to obtain a prior approval before taking part in any kind of treatment service, that may be organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program could be the favored treatment option, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits regarding how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which can be very beneficial, as it may help include family members in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors standing by to help today.
