Dual diagnosis rehabs are programs which deliver rehab to address both addiction and mental health concerns at the same time. Dual diagnosis is a very prevalent circumstance for those involved in drug and alcohol abuse, as individuals with mental health disorders frequently medicate themselves with drugs and alcohol to experience some kind of temporary relief from their disorder. Dual diagnosis clients also benefit from behavioral rehab which helps them develop more effective coping mechanisms so they are better able to handle life situations more effectively after they depart dual diagnosis rehab instead of turning to alcohol and drugs as a possible solution.
