If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are particular limits concerning how long a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which may be very helpful, as it may help include family members in the healing and recovery process.
