A group home for someone who has tbeen involved with alcohol and drug abuse is a place which offers continuous support and assistance for people in recovery. A group home is ordinarily for troubled adolescents, but in addition there are group homes for those with a mental health disorder or who are experiencing behavioral problems for example. Rather than sending those who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or another similar facility, a group home may help offer an appropriate environment to help individuals maintain stability inside their lives and still have counsel and assistance at their fingertips around the clock.
