Medicaid is a type of medical health insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance coverage. Whether someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they make a good income. For example, individuals who have quite a few dependents may be eligible for Medicaid even if they earn what would be described as a sensible income. Medicaid also can cover the price of rehab, if someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehabilitation. There are numerous alcohol and drug rehabilitation facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have distinct rules for what types of rehabilitation are covered. Certain states only cover outpatient rehab services for example while other states cover more extensive rehab like a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol treatment facility. If somebody is involved in drug abuse and wants help, they are able to use their Medicaid health coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the money or any other form of medical insurance to pay for rehab, they can determine if they qualify for Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol treatment facility which is approved inside their state.
