Medicare is a kind of medical insurance created by the federal government for seniors, along with those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin treatment, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual should be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
