Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the government for older persons, along with people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehab, they can also get to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
