Medicare is a form of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be in a hospital because of their problem, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
