LGBT represents lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and there are programs which address the unique needs of these clients. Treatment counselors in a LGBT rehab can help clients fix relationships with their family, in case their loved ones disagree with their sexual choice as is often the case. This situation is definitely a frequent trigger for substance abuse, and is an illustration of an issue that will be handled in treatment. LGBT clients often simply want to be accepted within their lives, and rehabilitation will help them accept themselves and produce confidence to be able to lead a healthy life free from drugs and alcohol.
