Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The one exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to see their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve which kind of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
