Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the federal government for older folks, along with people with certain disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual must obtain treatment from your drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be in a hospital for their problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
