Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the federal government for older folks, and also people who have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehab, they will also have to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
