Offering gender-specific rehab services has proven worthwhile in situations where traditional rehabilitation settings have fallen short, such as coping with situations inside a women's life that are unique and traumatic. Such troubles may have to do with sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, eating disorders, one's family and being a mother, or another serious issues that are specific to women. Research has shown that women may also get embroiled in drug use more readily than men, and therefore are more vulnerable to sickness due to dependency issues than males as a result.
