TRICARE is health care insurance that's provided to people in the military of the United States. TRICARE covers numerous rehabilitation services to cope with drug and alcohol dependence such as detoxification services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. Those that have TRICARE will of course need to get a prior authorization before taking part in any sort of treatment service, that may be arranged with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility could be the favored treatment option, TRICARE covers twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in this facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about how long a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which is often very useful, as it can help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process.
