Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from your drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual must be in a hospital for their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
