Offering gender-specific treatment services has proven worthwhile in situations where traditional rehab settings have fallen short, such as dealing with situations in the women's life that are unique and distressing. Such concerns may pertain to sexual abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse, eating disorders, one's family and being a mother, and other really serious issues which can be specific to women.
