Medicare is a type of medical health insurance created by the government for older folks, in addition to people with specific disabilities and diseases. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual will need to receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehab, they can also get to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be in a hospital for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
