Medicare is a type of health care insurance created by the federal government for older persons, as well as people with specific disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person will have to receive treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be in a hospital because of their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
