Medicare is a type of health care insurance designed by the federal government for seniors, and also those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person will have to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual should be hospitalized because of their issue, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
