Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the U.S. government for seniors, as well as individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only catch is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehab, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the physician will usually approve what sort of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
