Medicaid is a health care insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance coverage. Whether a person qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on their earnings however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify simply because they make a good income. Certain states only cover outpatient treatment services as an example while other states cover more intensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug treatment program. If someone is involved with drug use and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this help. If they do not have Medicaid plus don't have the funds or some other kind of medical health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can find out if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program that is approved inside their state.
