Medicare is a type of medical insurance created by the federal government for older folks, along with people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehab, they may also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve which kind of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual should be in a hospital for their problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
