Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for older folks, along with those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. When someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to see their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual has to be in a hospital for their problem, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
