Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for older folks, as well as those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only real exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence treatment, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual must be in a hospital for issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
