Medicare is a form of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to visit their physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be in a hospital for problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
