Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from your alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their physician who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual has to be in a hospital for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
