Offering gender-specific treatment services has proven worthwhile in circumstances where conventional treatment facilities have fallen short, including coping with situations in a women's life which are unique and painful. Such troubles may pertain to sexual abuse, physical abuse, psychological abuse, eating disorders, one's family and motherhood, or any other serious issues that are particular to women. Research shows that women could also get involved in abusing drugs more easily than men, and so are more vulnerable to sickness because of addiction problems than males because of this.
