People with TRICARE will naturally have to have a prior authorization before partaking in any type of treatment service, which may be arranged with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center could be the preferred rehabilitation option, TRICARE will cover 21 days or one inpatient stay in such a center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits regarding the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment that may be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are skilled treatment counselors standing by to assist you today.
