TRICARE is medical health insurance which is provided to individuals in the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is more common than one would assume, and the need to provide rehabilitation to these individuals is a vital priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to handle drug and alcohol dependence like detox services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will naturally be required to have a prior authorization before partaking in any kind of rehab service, which is often organized with their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility will be the preferred treatment option, TRICARE covers a three week period or one inpatient stay in this particular facility per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are certain limits about how long a TRICARE member can remain in the inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which can be very beneficial, as it could help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors ready to help today.
