TRICARE is medical health insurance which is provided to members of the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse inside the military is much more common than one would assume, and the necessity to offer rehabilitation to these individuals is a crucial priority. TRICARE covers many different rehab services to handle alcohol and drug dependence such as detoxification services, and also rehabilitation in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs. People with TRICARE will naturally be required to have a prior approval before partaking in any type of treatment service, which can be arranged using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program will be the preferred treatment option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in such a program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are particular limits as to the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in the inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which may be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert rehabilitation counselors ready to assist you today.
