Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the government for older persons, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual must receive treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence treatment, they can also get to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the doctor will typically approve which kind of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her issue, along with the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
