Self pay is often times the only option for those who need treatment in an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center for drug use but haven't any medical insurance. It isn't uncommon for someone dependent on drugs or alcohol to not have private medical insurance, as it can be difficult to maintain a drug or alcohol habit going while still keeping work.
