Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the federal government for older persons, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehab providers. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual has to be hospitalized for issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
