Medicare is a form of medical insurance developed by the U.S. government for senior citizens, in addition to people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will typically approve which kind of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her issue, and also the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
